De Zwijgende Huid (in ontwikkeling)

De Zwijgende Huid is een fotografisch onderzoek naar vormkracht als morfologisch principe — van geplooid gesteente tot drumlin, van kustlijn tot megaliet.

Wat wij als vast ervaren, blijkt op geologische tijdschaal vloeibaar: gesteente is een tijdelijke configuratie van energie en druk. In de rotsformaties van Ierland en de kleilandschappen van Zeeland onderzoek ik hoe materie zich organiseert, herschikt en stolt tot vorm.

Het boek wordt een zwart-wit ervaringsruimte waarin de huid van de aarde wordt gelezen als archief van tijd, beweging en weerstand.

Niet als symbool, maar als aanwezigheid.

 

The Silent Skin (in development)

The Silent Skin is a photographic investigation into shaping force as a morphological principle — from folded rock to drumlin, from shoreline to megalith.

What we experience as solid proves, on a geological timescale, to be fluid: rock is a temporary configuration of energy and pressure. In the rock formations of Ireland and the clay landscapes of Zeeland, I explore how matter organises itself, rearranges, and sets into form.

The book will become a black-and-white space of experience, in which the skin of the earth is read as an archive of time, movement, and resistance.

Not as a symbol, but as a presence.
